Toronto Bakes for Japan

With the disaster in Japan not far from all our minds, I’m happy (no, ecstatic) to participate in Toronto Bakes for Japan on Apr 10 , at the Liberty Noodle in Liberty Village, and a growing number of other venues across Toronto!!

100% of the proceeds from this extraordinary bake sale are being donated to the Japanese Red Cross.

Thanks go out to Heena of Tiffan Tales and Niya of Destiny, Domesticity and Dirty Little Secrets for creating this event. They are two astute bloggers and very fine people whom I’m looking forward to supporting with this initiative, as they gather a growing legion of volunteers and yummy treats. Small measures can make a difference.

I also thank Martin Zibauer, Food Editor at Cottage Life Magazine and blogger at their Cottage Feast for introducing me to the possibility of baking for Japan. I’ll be baking my Chocolate-Eclipsed Macaroons for the occasion.
