This pic of me pouring champagne for a holiday feature a few summers ago still entertains me….with a tree that only got assembled to the height needed for the crop in the picture. It’s ironic, as I look over to our own little Xmas tree at home today….being it’s just the top part of an unassembled whole {fake} tree, and using what little space is available in our “cozy” Toronto livingroom. But it works !

It’s been an incredible year, and it’s finally my first day of holidays:couldn’t be happier (unless I was in Picton, which will be soon. Ahhhh  ).

I promise to try to post more recipes, and perhaps more musings from beyond the grip of city life and stylings. But this post cannot slip away without mentioning the amazing support of the helpers I’ve been privileged to work with” in studio” this year. Huge thanks to my multi-talented friend Emma Reddington and her astounding design blog, and the exquisite Victoria Walsh who made my day when she went freelance and was able to help out, too. “My cup runneth over”.  A big thanks to all the wonderful clients and friends I get to work with so deliciously.  Enjoy the Holidays All,   cheers Ruth
