lunch in the garden

canteen-lunch

I recently hosted a photo shoot at my home in Milford for Honey Pie Hives and Herbals, to be used in their upcoming website re-design. Photographer Derek Cooper came out from Kingston for the day…thanks for the great job Derek, and to Laura Branson for all the props! Here’s a quick pic on Derek’s camera phone of the lunch we shared on the harvest table in the garden…some proscuitto, Black River Cheese’s award winning cheddar (goat !! & 4 year old yellow), pickles, salad, and icy cucumber water. These porcelainware plates, all made by my vastly talented brother Ken Gangbar,  are especially beautiful when combined with good food and company.  Perhaps someday my own garden will have one of his sculptures? Check out this gorgeous piece he installed last year in Mumbai, India. So enjoy the summer-harvest heat, and if I can shake myself out of the clutches of T.O….it’ll soon be time for making relish. All the best for this year’s crop of honey & herbs, Bay & Gavin!
